Job summary

Canon Business Process Services in Greenville, SC is seeking a Temporary Safety Lead to develop and enforce safety standards, training, and incident response aligned with OSHA and local requirements.

This full-time temporary role spans about eight months and requires hands-on leadership to drive safety governance, conduct investigations, coordinate trainings, and maintain records while collaborating with HR, Operations and regional safety staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Environment, Health & Safety or equivalent work experience.
• OSHA/State/Local compliance knowledge and safety program familiarity.
• 3–5 years safety experience in warehouse environments.
• Experience with forklifts, hazardous materials handling and related equipment.
• Experience facilitating safety training and certification programs.
• Ability to write Job Hazard Analyses and maintain records.
• Strong MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills; knowledge of Incident Management Systems.
• Excellent coaching, communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supports safety governance and ensures compliance with OSHA/state/local rules.
• Drives safety excellence with HR and Operations in the site.
• Coordinates safety training, orientation and certification programs.
• Conducts incident investigations and implements corrective actions.
• Creates Job Hazard Analyses, inspections, and audit checklists.
• Develops and implements a site safety improvement plan.
• Maintains training records and certifications; manages scheduling.
• Uses Incident Management System to identify trends and drive improvements.
