Job summary

Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) is hiring Temporary Research Analysts in Norman, OK for January–June 2027. The role is hourly paid and may require overtime, including weekends during peak weeks.

This position sits on our Custom Research team that develops tailored guidelines and vote recommendations for clients. You will work with a regional team to analyze meetings and companies, distill governance data, and draft client-specific recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, economics, law, or a related field.
• Experience in finance, research, or law is a plus.
• Ability to commit to the full duration of the assignment.
• Strong judgment and attention to detail in a high-pressure environment.
• Excellent writing and research abilities, proofreading skills, and communication.
• Knowledge of MS Office and Excel a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete basic and advanced analytical governance research of specific meetings and companies.
• Distill financial and corporate governance information and issue proxy vote recommendations based on client policy guidelines.
• Research policy-related issues and support staff in their completion of such projects.
• Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance the department’s service offering.
• Assist the team with supervision of projects/tasks from time to time as needed.
• Manage work allocation and ensure timely client deliverables.
