**Job Description:**

Patient Access Liaisons (PAL) provide centralized scheduling services related to patient access, scheduling, and support to ensure effective and efficient healthcare delivery, aiming for an excellent patient experience. The Shared Patient Access Center manages access requests for Boston Children’s Hospital patients. PALs offer a unique appointment experience to enhance patient satisfaction. They work directly with callers to address questions and issues, ensuring proficiency, accuracy, and quality in patient service.

This is a fully remote position, preferably for candidates located in the New England area.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing centralized scheduling for the Shared Patient Access Center/Call Center to meet access, scheduling, and satisfaction goals.
  • Interacting with patients and families via phone to provide information, clarify needs, and facilitate registration and scheduling for primary and specialty care.
  • Registering patients by collecting necessary information.
  • Handling prescription and refill requests.
  • Managing routine complaints and issues, escalating complex cases to supervisors.
  • Participating in team meetings and suggesting process improvements.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, fully remote.

Candidate Requirements:

  • At least one year of related experience, such as customer service in a call center or healthcare setting.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Preferred experience with Epic Scheduling, PowerChart Medical Records, and CISCO call center software.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

**Location:** Boston (Remote eligibility for full-time remote candidates)
