Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking an enthusiastic Activities Assistant to support the Director of Activities in planning and directing quality activities for residents. This temporary role offers 24 hours per week, with every third weekend shifts, some evenings, and alternating holiday rotations.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, and experience in geriatrics is preferred. A valid driver’s license and the ability to work independently are essential, with strong commitment

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Prior experience with geriatrics preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating quality activity programs for patients.
• Chart patient progress and behavior descriptively.
• Escort patients to and from activities.
• Make in-room visits to patients who are uninterested or unable to participate in group activities.
