Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking an Activities Assistant to support the Director of Activities in planning, organizing, developing, and directing quality activities for patients in accordance with Life Care standards.

The role focuses on meeting recreational, physical, intellectual, spiritual, and social needs while complying with all applicable laws and Life Care policies. The candidate should have a High School diploma; geriatrics experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience with geriatrics is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating quality activity programs (entertainment, exercise, relaxation, education).
• Chart patient progress and behavior descriptively.
• Escort patients to and from activities.
• Visit patients in their rooms to engage those unable or uninterested in group activities.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude toward patients.

Education

Experience with geriatrics preferred
