Job summary

Life Care Center of Longmont is seeking a part-time Activities Assistant to support the Director of Activities in creating engaging programs for residents. The role emphasizes planning diverse activities that meet recreational, physical, intellectual, spiritual, and social needs within regulatory guidelines.

Minimum of a high school diploma; geriatrics experience preferred; valid driver’s license; strong customer service and teamwork skills are essential for daily duties and resident

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Prior experience with geriatrics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating quality activity programs (entertainment, exercise, relaxation, education).
• Chart patient progress and behavior descriptively.
• Escort patients to and from activities.
• Make regular in-room visits to patients uninterested or unable to participate in group activities.
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.
• Assist in evacuation of patients.
• Maintain dependable attendance.
• Communicate and function on an interdisciplinary team.
