Job description

Temporary, Part-Time Computer Science Instructor - (Unsolicited)

The Computer Science Department is accepting applications for a part-time instructor responsible for teaching undergraduate computer science courses on an as-needed basis. The department occasionally requires temporary part-time instructors to fill in for faculty on sabbaticals or leaves.

The purpose of this posting is to generate a pool of qualified faculty. Applications submitted will be reviewed on an as needed basis based on enrollment. Anyone meeting the qualifications may be contacted for an interview and potentially hired when a need exists. In the event that you are interviewed but not immediately hired, your application will remain in the department’s pool of qualified faculty.

A complete application will include:

  • Cover letter describing qualifications for the position.
  • Current curriculum vitae or professional resume.
  • Copies of registrar‑issued transcripts for all degrees conferred and in progress.
  • Two letters of professional reference dated within the last 12 months.
