Job summary

THE RIGHT STAFF seeks an Accounting Specialist for a temporary 6–8 week, onsite assignment in downtown Minneapolis. The role focuses on hands-on AP/AR support, posting invoices, reconciling credit cards, and maintaining detailed documentation.

Flex hours are available, typically 8:00 am–4:00 pm, with pay between $25 and $30 per hour depending on experience. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in accounting (AR/AP), strong Excel skills, and an ability to learn and document processes clearly.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience (AR/AP).
• Nonprofit experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to learn existing processes quickly and document them clearly.

Responsibilities

• Process and manage Accounts Payable activities, including invoices and payments.
• Support Accounts Receivable functions, including recording and tracking receivables.
• Reconcile credit card activity and maintain documentation.
• Route mail and correspondence; create process documentation.
• Maintain organized records; communicate with staff and leadership as needed.
