Job summary

Low Income Housing Institute (LIHI) seeks an Area Manager to oversee multiple Seattle-area communities. This temporary position involves supervising staff, overseeing lease-ups, and maintaining low vacancies while ensuring compliance with leases and capital projects.

The role reports to the Regional Operations Manager and requires strong financial oversight, vendor management, and team leadership to support LIHI’s mission of providing affordable housing.

Qualifications

• Five years of senior management experience in residential property management or housing programs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Review monthly financial statements and prepare variance reports for each community.
• Supervise contracts, repairs, and supplies within on-site authority.
• Ensure compliance with lease, insurance, and capital project requirements.
• Monitor turnover, occupancy, and renewal rates across properties.
• Conduct weekly site visits and support timely lease-ups for new properties.
