Job summary

Anthropologie is seeking a Temporary Merchandise Assistant to support the Functional Décor buying team with the daily merchandise flow. You will develop cross-functional relationships with distribution, design, and production, and assist the Buyer on tasks.

Responsibilities include web turnover, sample management, SKU tracking, and reporting. Strong communication, multitasking, and retail math are essential; 1–2 years retail experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Understanding of customer wants and trends to align products.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and multi-task efficiently.

• Rudimentary retail math understanding.
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and digital tools.
• 1–2 years retail experience or internship.

Responsibilities

• Own web turnover and product information.
• Manage sample requests and SKU tracking for web photo samples, creative, visual & marketing requests.
• Maintain digital photos of items on order and in development for systems needs.
• Support product development through sample management.
• Track, ship, and return samples to vendors in a timely manner.
• Communicate changes to cross-functional teams and partners.
• Balance priorities for sample needs.
• Conduct weekly web audits to activate styles/colors and review customer feedback.
• Report findings to the team.
• Build positive relationships with current vendor base and manage sample inquiries.
• Assist in weekly business analysis with samples, reports, and color projections.
