Job summary

Anthropologie is seeking a Temporary Merchandise Assistant to support the daily operations within the Functional Décor buying team. You will manage merchandise flow, web turnover, and collaborate with market partners, distribution centers, design, and production to ensure timely sample handling.

You will work with Buyers on tasks, manage sample requests, and communicate changes to cross-functional teams. Prior retail exposure and strong Excel/PowerPoint skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Detail oriented in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required.
• Familiarity with retail math is a plus.
• 1-2 years retail experience or internship.

Responsibilities

• Own web turnover and product information.
• Manage sample requests and SKU tracking for web/photo samples, creative, and marketing requests.
• Maintain digital photographs of items in development for systems needs.
• Support product development via sample management.
• Track, ship, and return samples to vendors promptly.
