Job summary

Calvert County Government is seeking a temporary delivery driver to support the county's food service program for older citizens. You will drive a county vehicle, pick up items from a contracted caterer, verify meal counts, and deliver meals to senior centers and Meals on Wheels sites.

Requirements include a valid driver’s license, being at least 18 years old, and completing the tenth grade. You may be asked to work on short notice; the position involves up to 10 hours per week and pays $15.69

Responsibilities

• Drives a county vehicle to pick up items from a contracted food caterer, such as bulk food coolers, Meals on Wheels coolers, and bulk food containers for senior centers and Meals on Wheels delivery sites.
• Verifies meal counts and delivers food, mail, and supplies to senior centers and drop-off points.
• Picks up empty coolers and insulated containers and signs for donation receipts.
• Returns to Calvert Pines Senior Center and signs over donation receipts to supervisor.
• Maintains the exterior and interior of the county vehicle.
