Calvert County Government is seeking a temporary delivery driver to support the county's food service program for older citizens. You will drive a county vehicle, pick up items from a contracted caterer, verify meal counts, and deliver meals to senior centers and Meals on Wheels sites.
Requirements include a valid driver’s license, being at least 18 years old, and completing the tenth grade. You may be asked to work on short notice; the position involves up to 10 hours per week and pays $15.69
Performs support work in the County's food service program for older citizens. The work involves delivering meals to the county's senior centers when staff is absent. The work requires the ability to operate vehicles and to follow instructions. Work is reviewed by a supervisor.
Performs related work as required.
Operation of County owned vehicle.
Requires strenuous physical effort to perform manual work involving repeated bending, climbing, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or lifting objects up to 50 pounds.
