Job summary

Somerville Public Schools seeks a paraprofessional to support the A.I.M program (Adapt, Include, Motivate) for students on the autism spectrum. The role involves 1:1 and small group instruction, assisting teachers, and maintaining a safe classroom in Capuano Early Childhood Center and Winter Hill Community Innovation School.

You will help implement ABA-based strategies, collect data, support behavior needs, and collaborate with clinical specialists.

Qualifications

• Assist with instruction as directed by the teacher.
• Develop an understanding of the curriculum.
• Support the overall management of the classroom and student behavior.
• Provide small group and/or individual instruction under the direction of the classroom teacher.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support student learning and success.

Responsibilities

• Assist with instruction as directed by the teacher.
