Job summary

Museum of the Dog is seeking a Visitor Experience Associate in New York City to greet visitors, process admissions, and assist in the gift shop. The role supports inventory control, cash handling, and customer service across gallery spaces.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, preferably in a museum or retail setting.
• Ability to handle cash accurately and process payments.
• Experience with inventory and stock replenishment processes.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and answer general inquiries; assist with admission payments and gift shop transactions.
• Update stock on delivery in systems (Shopify, VA/SF); label and restock as needed.
• Meet with supervisor weekly to review shop and museum supply needs; maintain tidy inventory.
• Provide customer service and knowledge about exhibits and memberships.
• Process locker rentals and coat check; ensure welcoming, orderly spaces.
