Job summary

The Italian American Museum in New York City is seeking a part-time Visitor Services Associate to welcome guests, sell admission and memberships, check in visitors, and assist guests as they explore the museum during operating hours and events.

Ideal candidates communicate clearly, work well in a fast-paced team, and can lift up to 25 pounds. Availability Thursday through Saturday is required, with flexibility for other days and holiday weekends.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and explain exhibition guidelines and policies.
• Manage visitor flow and assist with direction.
• Check in guests and monitor timed entry.
• Sell admissions, memberships, events, and store items; process payments.
• Attend staff meetings and support other tasks as needed.
• Provide excellent visitor experiences in a fast-paced setting.
