Job summary

The University of Northern Iowa seeks a substitute Early Childhood Education assistant to provide coverage in developmentally appropriate settings, supporting learning and the well-being of individual children and groups, including dual language learners and children with disabilities.

Responsibilities include maintaining a safe, inclusive classroom, communicating with families and staff, and assisting in supervising children and supporting classroom personnel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree completed or in progress with eligibility for certification.
• CPR, First Aid, Mandatory Reporter, OSHA Universal Precautions and Essential Child Care Training required or obtainable within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide substitute coverage in an early childhood setting, implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment and support families and staff as needed.
