Job summary

The University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, IA is seeking a temporary substitute in an early childhood education setting. You will implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities to support the learning, development, and well‑being of individual children and groups.

You will help maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that meets the needs of all learners, including dual language learners and children with disabilities, and you will support families

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Certifications in CPR, First Aid, Mandatory Reporter, OSHA or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Childcare experience preferred; student experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide substitute coverage in early childhood setting and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities.
• Support learning, development, and well being of children and groups.
• Maintain safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment for all learners including dual language and disabilities.
• Communicate with families and staff to support continuity of care.
• Follow classroom routines and program policies; supervise children as needed.
