Job summary

Palm Beach State College in Florida is seeking a temporary Training Designer to design and develop training programs, courses, and educational tools under the Continuing Education Department. You will create course materials, assessments, and integrate instructional technologies for a six-month assignment.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of related experience, with strong communication skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

About this role

Under the direction of the Continuing Education Department, responsible for designing and developing training programs, courses, and educational tools. Develops course materials, assessment techniques, and appropriate integration of instructional technologies. This is a temporary position that will not exceed six calendar months.

Varies Base Pay: $27.78. Offer amount based on College's Salary Schedule Program/curriculum areas: Business: Management, Soft skills, Entrepreneurship Etc. Leadership Supply Chain Management Information Technology: Microsoft 365, Programming, Adobe, Etc.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Designs learning solutions targeted at employees, students, or clients of the organization.
  • Collaborates with subject matter experts to ensure that content is accurate and thorough.
  • Utilizes multiple formats, including print, audio, visual, and multimedia, and selects the appropriate format for the target audience or content.
  • Evaluates the results of training programs and modifies future programs to better meet training goals.
  • Provides support to faculty and departments in the development and conversion of courses and programs utilizing cutting‑edge and creative design and course delivery options.
  • Consultations with subject matter experts to identify and obtain training objectives and content.
  • Performs other job‑related duties as assigned.
