Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher; preferred.
• Minimum of 48 college hours; preferred.
• High school diploma or GED + TABE test.
• Fingerprinting background check required; approx. $50 fee.
• One year of experience with children.
• Ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Assist with administration and scoring of objective testing instruments or work assignments.
• Help maintain a neat and orderly classroom.
• Help with inventory, care and maintenance of equipment.
• Help teachers keep administrative records and prepare required reports.
• Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
• Conduct instructional exercises and supervise students during the day.
• Supervise lunchroom, bus, and playground duties.
