Qualifications

• 1–3+ years in lab, biobank, or sample management.
• Experience handling biological samples per biosafety guidelines.
• Familiarity with cold chain logistics and electronic databases (LIMS).
• Excellent record-keeping and data accuracy.
• Able to follow structured workflows with minimal deviation.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical inventory of biobank samples across storage locations.
• Retrieve, handle, and return sample boxes under cold-chain conditions.
• Scan barcodes and verify sample identity against Benchling or LIMS records.
• Update storage locations in the system (freezer, shelf, rack, box, position).
• Log discrepancies in an exception log.
• Maintain chain-of-custody and sample integrity.
• Accession samples into LIMS databases as needed.
• Complete daily inventory logs and end-of-day reporting.
• Adhere to SOPs for biosafety and PPE.
• Other duties, as assigned.
