Job summary

Precision Medicine Group is seeking a Biorepository Technician I to support shipment and receipt, retrieval, and preservation of biological samples. The role involves monitoring freezers, recording data, and ensuring proper storage according to SOPs.

Responsibilities include handling incoming/outgoing shipments, inventory control, aseptic handling of frozen specimens, and collaboration with QA. Requires a high school diploma and at least two years of general experience; some lifting is required

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
2 years general working experience.
Must be able to lift 31-50 lbs. with or without assistance and work in a cold freezer environment.
Fluent reading, writing, and speaking English.
Familiarity with Excel and basic functions.

Responsibilities

Monitor freezers, refrigerators and room temperatures; respond to alarms per SOPs.
Receive biological samples; unpack, label, and file paperwork; store at correct temperatures.
Maintain inventory and quarantine raw materials; assist QA as needed.
Retrieve and prep frozen samples; perform QC and update batch records.
Ship samples (dangerous and non-dangerous goods) by courier; label shipping boxes.
Carry out other duties as assigned.
