Job summary

Optro is seeking a temporary Benefits Administrator to support the benefits team during a high-volume period. You will handle day-to-day benefits, leave administration, answer employee questions, and update documentation.

Candidates with Experience in Workday Benefits/Absence modules and knowledge of HIPAA/ERISA are preferred. This remote role may require availability across multiple US time zones.

Qualifications

• Experience with benefits and leave administration.
• Hands-on experience with Workday Benefits and Absence modules is strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of HIPAA, COBRA, ERISA, applicable state/federal leave laws, and QLE processing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strict adherence to confidentiality and handling of sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Employee Enablement - Assist employees with Qualified Life Events (QLEs), coverage questions, and new hire benefits questions.
• Leave of Absence - Facilitate employee requests for leave with our LOA vendor, respond to questions from employees and the vendor, update absence records in Workday, and review payroll reports prior to handing them off to the Payroll Team.
• Open Enrollment - Provide operational support with employee communications, Workday testing, and resource document updates.
