Big-D Construction seeks a Project Engineer to support a Temple project in Des Moines, IA. The role will involve coordinating daily activities, reviewing submittals, RFIs, and change orders, and assisting with procurement and schedule management. Some travel and per-diem are expected to accommodate project needs.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management and 2+ years on commercial projects, with a proactive approach to QA/QC and documenting progress on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field.
• 2+ years of experience on commercial construction projects or equivalent.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Drive to deliver high-quality projects.
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsabilités

• Receive and review submittals and track RFIs.
• Assist with change orders development and pricing.
• Prepare and maintain meeting agendas and minutes.
• Maintain construction drawings and provide requested support.
• Assist PM and Superintendent with subcontract and schedule administration.
• Ensure site documentation including photos and logs are up-to-date.
• Track procurement and align costs with project schedule.
• Monitor submittals, RFIs, and changes that could delay the project.
