Job summary

Redwood Logistics LLC in Chicago seeks a Temperature Control, Carrier Sales Representative to build relationships with service providers and maximize profitability. You will source carriers, negotiate freight rates, and coordinate shipments to satisfy customers.

The role requires at least two years in a carrier sales position within a brokerage, strong communication and negotiation abilities, and adaptability in a fast-paced setting. Hybrid schedule with training and office/remote days.

Responsibilities

• Provide and negotiate freight rates to motor carriers and internal sales, ensuring profitability.
• Coordinate available customer freight with motor carrier equipment.
• Support motor carriers to build strong business relationships.
• Maintain files of open truck shipments and trailer records in assigned areas.
• Communicate with motor carriers to schedule trucks and resolve issues.
• Verify freight charges, ensure receipt of BOL, and resolve payables discrepancies prior to payment.
• Monitor BOL discrepancies to ensure proper return of commodity.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
