IMMEDIATE Technical Support Representative needed for our client, a well-known manufacturing company specializing in residential and commercial heating, cooling, refrigeration, and water heating products.

This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with the potential to transition into a permanent position based on performance, attendance, and overall business needs. The position will operate on a hybrid schedule in Montgomery, AL following the required training period.

The Technical Support Representative will provide knowledgeable assistance to customers, contractors, technicians, and other callers experiencing product service, installation, and operational issues. This position is ideal for someone with a background in technical support, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical maintenance, or equipment troubleshooting who is interested in transitioning their technical knowledge into a customer-facing support environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide phone-based technical support for residential and commercial products.
• Troubleshoot product service, installation, performance, and operational issues.
• Ask detailed diagnostic questions to determine the source of equipment or product problems.
• Guide customers and technicians through step-by-step troubleshooting procedures.
• Interpret technical instructions, product documentation, service manuals, and specifications.
• Explain technical information in a clear and understandable manner to callers with varying levels of product knowledge.
• Document customer interactions, reported issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions accurately.
• Escalate complex or unresolved technical issues to the appropriate internal teams.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service while managing technical inquiries.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of technical support, maintenance, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or related hands-on experience preferred.
• Previous Tier 1 technical support experience is a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose problems through conversation and technical questioning.
• Ability to read and comprehend technical instructions, manuals, diagrams, correspondence, and product documentation.
• Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to learn the operation, installation, and troubleshooting requirements of multiple product types.
• Comfortable providing detailed technical guidance over the phone.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating with technical and customer support teams.
• Must be able to work a hybrid schedule in O'Fallon, MO.
