IMMEDIATE TEMP to HIRETechnical Support Specialist – Electrical & Water Heating
Looking for a great opportunity to step out of hands-on field work and into a traditional Monday-Friday technical support setting? A well-known manufacturing company specializing in residential and commercial heating, cooling, and refrigeration products is seeking a Technical Support Specialist – Electrical & Water Heating.
This temporary position offers the opportunity to become a permanent employee based on performance and is an excellent fit for a Maintenance Technician or other skilled technical professional who wants to take their existing troubleshooting knowledge into a customer-facing support role.
The Technical Support Specialist – Electrical & Water Heating will use their previous hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting experience to assist customers virtually and over the phone with diagnosing and troubleshooting water heating equipment. The company will provide training on its products, and this individual will provide technical assistance to customers, contractors, and service professionals experiencing product operation, service, and installation issues.
To be considered, candidates must have at least 1 year of previous Maintenance Technician experience, with a strong understanding of mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting and the ability to diagnose equipment issues. Candidates must be comfortable reading, writing, and comprehending technical instructions, manuals, and product information, as well as confidently communicating technical information over the phone.
Previous experience troubleshooting water heaters, HVAC equipment, boilers, pumps, or other mechanical/electrical equipment is highly preferred.
This is NOT a physical maintenance position. This is a great opportunity to take the technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills you have built in the field and transition into a customer-facing technical support environment. Instead of traveling to job sites or performing hands-on repairs, you will help customers, contractors, and service professionals troubleshoot equipment remotely by phone and virtually.
If you are ready to step out of field work while still putting your maintenance and troubleshooting expertise to use, this could be a great next career move!
