Job summary

Responsibilities

• On-site deck-plate leader for the trade, guiding 8–20 mechanics.
• Plan and project manpower requirements to support production goals.
• Review Gantt charts and develop 1–2 week schedules.
• Develop daily work assignments and expectations for the crew.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality and adherence to specs.
• Enforce safety rules and the collective bargaining agreement.
• Coordinate with the General Foreman and other shops to meet goals.
• Attend daily production meetings and report progress and issues.
