Job summary

Computational Physics, Inc. is seeking a senior accountant to support year-end review and critical GovCon deliverables. You will collaborate with the Controller, work independently from day one, and handle complex gl accounts with minimal supervision.

This temporary engagement runs through the end of the year with up to 40 hours per week, offering a fast-paced environment and significant ownership of financial close and ESOP processes.

Qualifications

• Significant senior-level accounting experience with a government contractor.
• Experience preparing Incurred Cost Submissions and understanding of indirect rate structures.
• Strong command of FAR Part 31 and DCAA expectations.
• Proven year-end close, GL reconciliation, and schedule-building skills.
• Advanced Excel and the ability to build clean, review-ready workpapers.
• Self-directed; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform a deep review of all GL accounts; identify and resolve issues for year-end readiness.
• Build and maintain supporting schedules for the review, including reconciliations and roll-forwards.
• Support ESOP share valuation data packages for third-party valuation firm.
• Assist in preparing ICS/ICE, including schedules and reconciliation to financial statements.
