Job summary

CME Corp. is seeking a Temporary Purchasing Specialist in Warwick, RI to support the purchasing team. You will process a high volume of purchase orders, record confirmations and ship dates, and be the liaison between vendors and internal Sales and Customer Service teams.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in purchasing, strong data entry and communication skills, and familiarity with Salesforce. This temporary role reports to the Purchasing Manager and is based on-site in Warwick.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of purchasing experience.
• Healthcare industry experience is a plus.
• Strong grammar, verbal, written, and data entry skills.
• Knowledge of Salesforce software is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Process and record a high volume of emailed order confirmations, estimated ship dates and tracking of purchase orders.
• Answer inbound calls from vendors and suppliers.
• Research and resolve issues with open purchase orders.
• Follow up with vendors to supply payment, obtain status, request invoices, and confirm deliveries.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Communicate status of purchase orders to internal sales teams.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the Purchasing Manager.
