Job summary

Westaff is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Specialist in Warwick, RI. This on-site role offers $20.00/hour with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

You will process purchase orders, coordinate with vendors, and support internal teams to resolve purchasing concerns. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of purchasing experience, strong communication, and proficient data entry using Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of purchasing or procurement experience.
• Healthcare industry purchasing experience is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Accurate data entry and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Process and track a high volume of purchase orders, order confirmations, shipping updates, and delivery information.
• Maintain accurate records of estimated ship dates and tracking details.
• Communicate with vendors and suppliers to obtain status, invoices, payment information, and delivery confirmations.
• Investigate and resolve issues related to open purchase orders.
• Answer inbound calls and serve as a key contact for vendors.
• Partner with Sales and Customer Service to resolve purchasing concerns.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors.
• Assist with additional projects as assigned by Purchasing Manager.
