Spartanburg Community College is seeking a campus security officer to patrol campus properties and respond to emergencies, ensuring safety and security across the college jurisdiction.
Responsibilities include enforcing policies, conducting safety checks, reporting hazards, and coordinating with local law enforcement as needed.
Routinely patrol campus and other properties under jurisdiction on foot, in motor vehicles, or in other authorized transportation. Watch for unauthorized persons, suspicious or criminal activities, disturbances, and violations through regular patrols and monitoring of camera systems
Must be 21 years of age by the date of hire. Must have a valid South Carolina driver's license and the ability to operate all equipment in the campus safety vehicle. Criminal background check required for hire. Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D equivalent.
Minimum of one year of experience in college security, contractual security, police, corrections, fire safety, EMS, and military.
