University of South Carolina Upstate is seeking a Campus Security Officer (Library) in Spartanburg, SC. The role oversees safety and security in the library during evening hours, conducts rounds, observes and reports incidents, and controls building access for authorized personnel.
Responsibilities include patrolling, ensuring only authorized individuals enter with a valid USC ID, unlocking doors for authorized staff, and coordinating with University Police as needed.

The Library safety officer is responsible for providing for the safety and security of students, faculty, and staff frequenting the Library during evening hours. This includes making rounds inside the Library, observing and reporting any unusual circumstances and securing doors as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED. Must be 18 years of age. Must possess a valid South Carolina driver’s license with a good driving record. Successful background check is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior safety, security or law enforcement experience preferred.
