Job summary

Bishop & Company in Honolulu, HI seeks an experienced Paralegal (Temporary) to support commercial lending and real estate transactions. You will prepare loan documents, review files, and ensure regulatory compliance alongside lending teams and outside counsel.

The role requires deep knowledge of document language, LaserPro, and title-related matters, with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Six+ years in complex Hawaii real estate transactions.
• Experience with due diligence, regulatory compliance, and title matters.
• Knowledge of legal entity structures and documentation.
• Development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures.
• Strong partnerships and teamwork across business units.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and facilitate commercial loan documents accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with loan specialists and outside counsel to resolve issues delaying closings.
• Coordinate with Compliance, BSA, and Credit Administration on regulatory matters.
• Maintain knowledge of credit policies and documentation standards.
• Review documentation and provide final quality review approvals.
• Identify recurring challenges and support process improvements.
• Provide backup support for Documentation Specialists.
