Abacus Solutions Group is opening a brand-new Southaven, MS warehouse and seeks Operations Supervisors for Replenishment, Outbound and Inventory. 1st and 2nd shifts available. Temporary-to-permanent role starting ASAP with competitive pay and growth potential.

The role requires strong supervision, safety focus, and ability to drive efficiency. 70K annual target; warehouse/distribution experience preferred; MS Office and WMS proficiency beneficial.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 2 years’ managerial experience in warehousing or distribution.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proven leadership and interpersonal abilities; good written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day activities and hold a team accountable to safety, quality, and productivity SOPs.
• Coordinate shift activities and ensure adherence to DC procedures for outbound work.
• Train and assess shift personnel per company guidelines; drive performance improvements.
• Support recruiting, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, HazMat, DOT, and other regulations.

Job description

Abacus Solutions Group is currently sourcing for Operations Supervisors (Replenishment Department, Outbound Department and Inventory Department) for a brand-new warehouse that opened in the Southaven, MS area. We will have 1st and 2nd shift available.
This is a temporary to permanent position looking to start ASAP!

Compensation:
$70K

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Supervise the day-to-day activities/mechanisms in accordance with the SOP’s, holding a team of associates accountable to standards of safety, quality, and productivity
• Actively contribute to the development of CIA direct reports
• Keep safe and clean work environment.
• Achieve and maintain compliance with all company and federally mandated regulations regarding Safety, OSHA, HazMat and DOT
• Responsible for associate level of safety, quality, and productivity performance
• Solve and respond to daily issues
• Plan and coordinate shift activities for areas assigned within the fulfillment center to ensure adherence to all DC procedures
• Assist Manager in planning, prioritizing, and communicating shift directives to ensure efficiency, accuracy and quality are met for all outbound related activities
• Ensure that all shift personnel receive proper training, skill development, and assessment per company guidelines
• Recommend and implement improvement in efficiency and effectiveness of employees for increased shift contribution
• Implement specific objectives and performance measures for all shift personnel to maximize productivity
• Accountable for achieving production objectives
• Monitor all production and personnel statistics and reporting in support of the department operation
• Reinforce policy and procedure compliance
• Participates in the Recruiting and Selection process
• Conducts performance reviews and implements corrective action as appropriate
• Implementing performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions
• Interacts with peers and related staff across all departments on the implementation of fulfillment strategies

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in in Engineering, logistics, Business, Operationsora related field or alternatively 2 years of demonstrated managerial experience leading teams
• Prior experience preferred working in Warehousing, 3PL, Distribution or Manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong process improvement skills (ability to develop and implement processes. Must have demonstrated leadership and strong interpersonal skills Professional verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Power Point
• Proficient in WMS.

Compensation:
$70,000 per year
