Forbes seeks a Temporary Helpdesk Engineer to deliver hands-on technical support to employees at its Jersey City headquarters. The role involves onsite desktop support, conference room tech checks, and device logistics for new hires, reporting to Corporate Solutions.

This is a temporary assignment based in-office five days a week. The ideal candidate has 2–4+ years of corporate IT experience, strong customer service, and expertise with email, IAM, and MFA.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT or related field, or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• 2 to 4+ years of IT support in a corporate or enterprise environment.
• Experience troubleshooting email systems, collaboration platforms, and identity and access management tools.
• Strong understanding of account provisioning, password resets, and MFA troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting network connectivity and wireless access in corporate environments.
• Working knowledge of device management tools for Windows, macOS, and mobile operating systems.
• Experience with conference room technology and onsite hardware support.
• Familiarity with endpoint protection and security awareness practices.
• Ability to lift and move equipment for setup, shipping, and receiving.

Responsibilities

• Onsite and desktop support, including hardware setup and repairs.
• Manage equipment inventory, shipping, receiving, and device imaging.
• Support onboarding and offboarding with device provisioning and return.
• Respond to IT tickets for user access, devices, software, and networks.
• Provide support for email, collaboration tools, IAM, including MFA.
• Troubleshoot authentication, access and wireless connectivity; escalate when needed.
• Set up end-user devices and perform MDM tasks, including enrollment and compliance.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure on maintenance, monitoring, and incidents.
• Document solutions and maintain knowledge base.
