This six-month assignment focuses on delivering courteous information, updating demographics and insurance data, collecting co-pays, and coordinating with providers to minimize patient wait times.

The role requires a high school diploma, 3 years of medical secretarial/office experience, and CPR/BLS certification.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 years previous medical secretarial/office experience required.
• Active CPR, BLS Certification.

Mansioni

• Promptly and courteously provides the information and services requested by patient.
• Takes initiative to seek assistance from others; informs patient/clients of the need to do so; explains who is being called upon to help; and ensures that all patient/clients requests are addressed in a way which minimizes inconveniences of all parties.
• Maintain strict patient/clients confidentiality at all times.
• Verify and update patient demographic information and insurance information.
• Communicate appointment delays effectively with patients and providers; apprise patients of wait times, delays, etc.
• Verify patient insurance eligibility and co-payment. (HMO's, PPO's, Managed Care)
• Create daily batch and collect co-pay, provide receipt, and obtain credit/debit card authorization as needed.
• Explain terms and conditions of services and financial responsibility
• Answers phones as needed.
