Job summary

Unio Health Partners seeks a Medical Assistant to support patient care across our practices. You will work with physicians and staff to perform procedures, take vitals, document intake forms, explain instructions, and assist with follow-up care in a professional, efficient environment.

This is a temporary position through April 2027. You will ensure room turnover, manage EMR uploads, assist with specimen collection and phlebotomy, and help with supply ordering and prior authorizations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant Certificate is a plus.
• Phlebotomy Certificate is a plus.
• 0-3 years of healthcare experience preferred, EMR experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient turnover of patient rooms and maintain timely daily schedule flow.
• Provide patient care: take vitals, document intake forms, explain procedures, assist with follow-up care.
• Maintain instruments and equipment: sterilize, disinfect, autoclave, clean and store per specs.
• Submit prior authorizations for medications, procedures, and labs.
• Assist with updating supply orders and ensure supplies stay stocked; prevent shortages.
• Assist physicians and staff with procedures: room setup, specimen collection, phlebotomy, injections, and medication preparation.
• Prepare EMR: retrieve and upload labs, post-op reports, authorizations, and necessary documentation for upcoming appointments.
