Job summary

Unio Health Partners is seeking a Temporary Medical Assistant II to support patient care at 2186 Geary Blvd, Suite 214. The role collaborates with physicians and staff to take vitals, document intake forms, assist with procedures, and manage EMR records.

This is a temporary position through November 2026 with on-site duties. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 4–5 years of healthcare experience including EMR, and optional phlebotomy certification or Spanish language skills; EPIC

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of healthcare experience including EMR systems.
• Phlebotomy certificate is a plus.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bilingual-Spanish is a plus.
• Urology experience highly preferred.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient turnover of patient rooms and maintain timely daily schedule flow.
• Provide patient care: taking vitals, documenting intake forms, exam instructions, assist with follow up care as needed.
• Maintain instruments and equipment: sterilized, disinfected, autoclaved, and follow proper cleaning/storage.
• Submit prior authorizations for medications, procedures, and labs.
• Daily preparation of EMR: retrieve/upload labs, diagnostic studies, post op reports, authorizations, and documentation for upcoming appointments.
• Support front office duties: appointment scheduling, answering phones, responding to voicemails/e-mails.
• Train new Medical Assistants and externs in duties and procedures.
