Job summary

Tri-County Community Action Agency seeks an Early Learning Center supervisor for S46 in Mays Landing, NJ. The role ensures Head Start standards alignment, classroom oversight, and family engagement in a temporary full-time capacity.

The candidate will plan developmentally appropriate activities, document child progress, and coordinate with the Education Manager. Requires a 4-year degree and NJ licensing qualifications; a car is required daily.

Qualifications

• Must have a baccalaureate or advanced degree in early childhood education or equivalent.
• Must meet the qualification requirements set forth in NJ/PA licensing regulations
• Must have New Jersey’s P-3 certification: CE, CEA, or Standard Cert

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement activities in an individual and developmentally appropriate manner for pre-school children in keeping with Head Start and licensing requirements.
• Submit weekly curriculum-based lesson plans to the Site Director and Education Manager.
• Observe, assess, screen, and document each child's growth and development.
• Ensure services to children with special needs are implemented.
• Maintain records, sign-in/out sheets, and monthly reports for the Parent Center Committee.
• Involve parents in classroom activities and organize parent/teacher conferences.
• Visit homes and conduct conferences; participate in training sessions and on-site staff training.
• Carry out additional Head Start tasks as delegated by management.
