Job summary

PawaPay seeks a hands-on Temporary Finance & Reconcilations Accountant for a 6-month term to manage complex, high-volume reconciliations and audit prep. You will own wallet balance reconciliations, tax GL-to-return work, intercompany matching, and balance sheet substantiation across assigned markets.

Work closely with Finance, Tax, Treasury, and Operations to clear discrepancies, prepare supporting schedules, and ensure audit-ready files for FY2026 and beyond.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
• Progress toward or completion of CPA/ACCA or equivalent is an advantage.
• Experience in fintech/payments/audit environments with high-volume data is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Wallet reconciliations: historical and current reconciliations of wallet balances vs GL and data sources.
• Tax GL-to-return reconciliations: verify VAT and local taxes across markets.
• Transfer pricing and intercompany matching: reconcile related-party transactions.
• Audit PBC and schedule preparation for FY2026 audits and Q1 2027 cycle.
• Coordinate external auditor requests and resolve prior-period balance sheet items.
• Balance sheet substantiation: month-end and year-end close across multi-country entities.
