Job summary

DeWinter Group is seeking an Accounting Consultant to support the team through busy quarters. Ideal for a tenured Senior Accountant or hands-on Accounting Manager with strong general ledger knowledge, month-end close experience, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and external audit support.

The role is a 3-6+ month contract starting ASAP, in the Pacific Time Zone. The candidate will work closely with the team on US GAAP guidance, complex transactions, and efficiency improvements

Qualifications

• Must have strong GL accounting and US GAAP knowledge.
• Experience supporting external audits and tax prep is required.
• Advanced Excel skills are essential.
• Payroll experience is a plus; familiarity with Bill.com/Expensify is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end close, journal entries, accruals, payroll, and intercompany transactions.
• Prepare financial statements, account reconciliations, and variance analyses.
• Support external audits, tax preparation, and internal controls.
• Prepare supplemental reporting schedules and ad hoc analyses.
• Document accounting processes and identify efficiency improvements.
• Research and apply US GAAP standards to complex transactions.
