Oerlikon is seeking a Temporary Assembler C for our Westbury, NY facility. Under moderate supervision, you will perform diverse electro-mechanical assembly, adjusting and fitting components on modules or sub-assemblies.

Responsibilities include setting up and operating multiple machines and fixtures, executing assembly, wiring, testing and packing to specified tolerances, and maintaining records. Applicants typically have 1–3 years of assembly experience and a high school or equivalent education.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; industrial or trade training acceptable.
• 1–3 years of assembly experience with hand-eye coordination.

Responsabilités

• Assemble components per operation sheets and drawings.
• Set up and operate machines and fixtures to tolerances.
• Perform wiring, testing and packing; strip, insert, and attach components.
• Test components with measuring instruments to meet specs.
• Maintain tools and keep records of parts processed.
• Mentor lower level employees and keep a safe, clean workspace.
