Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Amityville, NY, seeks an Assembly B to perform mechanical assembly on electro-mechanical subsystems. You will use hand soldering and automated production equipment, ensuring parts meet specifications and quality standards.

Responsibilities include operating production equipment, applying adhesives, soldering, inspecting components, maintaining records, and communicating status to the Assembly Manager.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 4+ years of relevant experience or 2 years post-secondary with 0–2 years of related experience.
• Preference for J-STD-001 soldering certification and prior manufacturing assembly experience.
• Mechanical inclination and basic computer navigation skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing equipment (drills, rivet guns, sanders) per training.
• Solder wires, terminals, and PCB components per J-STD-001 and IPC-610.
• Inspect subassemblies for defects throughout assembly.
• Maintain assembly and quality records as required.
• Communicate statuses to Assembly Manager; adapt to fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work overtime and obtain US security clearance.
