L3Harris Technologies in Amityville, NY is seeking an Assembly B to perform mechanical assembly on electro-mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies. You will hand-solder components, operate production equipment, and help ensure conformance to quality standards in a fast-paced facility.

The role emphasizes hands-on machining and soldering with overtime as needed. Ideal candidates will have a HS diploma and 4+ years experience or 2 years post-secondary with 0-2 years.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate various types of manufacturing equipment (air drivers/drills, rivet guns, sanders, drill presses, etc.) with proper training.
• Soldering of wires, terminals, splices, PCB through-hole & PCB surface mount components IAW J-STD-001 & IPC-610.
• Inspect components and subassemblies for defects prior to, during and after assembly.
• Check completed assemblies for conformance with quality standards.
• Maintain assembly & quality records/paperwork as required.
