Job summary

Daktronics in Brookings, SD is seeking a Temporary Crater to build and crate displays for shipment. This 20-hour-per-week role offers a daytime schedule in a climate-controlled factory.

You will operate power tools, read simple drawings, document weights and dimensions, and learn crane or forklift procedures. Safety and teamwork are required.

Qualified applicants have a high school diploma or GED, can lift up to 50 lbs, are fluent in English, and have carpentry experience if possible.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Math skills to read and calculate measurements and record numbers.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for full shifts.
• Experience in carpentry or similar work preferred.
• Proficient with power tools, saws, nail guns, and LP heat shrink tools.
• Fluent in English with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Construct crates for displays using power tools.
• Document weights, dimensions, and serial numbers on crates.
• Learn display construction and interpret basic drawings.
• Operate cranes or forklift as needed.
• Follow safety policies and OSHA standards and work with the team.
