Job summary

Daktronics is seeking a Machine Maintenance Technician in Brookings, SD to keep automated equipment running smoothly and to support manufacturing operations. You'll perform preventive maintenance, diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems, train peers, and help with equipment acquisitions, while complying with safety policies and local regulations.

Qualifications

Two-year Associate degree in Electrical, Robotics, Mechatronics, Diesel Mechanics, Energy Technology, or similar.
Demonstrated ability in problem solving and troubleshooting.
Ability to follow work plans and prioritize work orders, escalating issues when needed.
Regularly and reliably work the scheduled hours, including scheduled overtime.
Good communication skills, including technical writing.
Willingness to learn and adapt quickly.
Ability to work with minimum supervision and exercise independent judgment.
Must be fluent in English, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on automated equipment.
Make emergency repairs to electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
Train peers to perform maintenance tasks.
Communicate effectively over the phone to repair equipment.
Maintain records and contribute to discussions on new equipment purchases and materials.
