Job summary

Chicago Public Schools is seeking a Teacher to provide instruction, monitor student progress, and maintain classroom discipline in assigned classes. The role requires planning lessons, assessing student learning, and communicating with families in accordance with school procedures.

The teacher will implement effective teaching strategies, use a variety of instructional materials, participate in professional meetings, and may supervise extracurricular activities.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid teaching license issued by the Illinois State Board of Education (PEL or ELS).
• Knowledge of instructional planning and assessment practices.
• Ability to maintain positive classroom management and communicate with families.

Responsibilities

• Plan instruction, develop lesson plans, and track pupil progress.
• Apply effective teaching methods and classroom management techniques.
