Chicago Public Schools is seeking a dedicated teacher to deliver engaging instruction to assigned classes, maintain accurate attendance and progress records, and promote a positive, orderly learning environment in line with district policies.

The position requires effective lesson planning, ongoing assessment, collaboration with parents and staff, and adherence to the Uniform Discipline Code; familiarity with ISBE licenses and professional development is expected.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of student teaching and the appropriate teaching certificate issued by ISBE.
• Knowledge of subject matter and effective instructional practices.
• Ability to modify instruction to meet student needs and maintain classroom management.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver instruction and assess pupil progress.
• Maintain attendance records and progress documentation.
• Communicate with parents and guardians about student progress and behavior.
• Participate in in-service and professional staff meetings.
• Coordinate class activities and field trips as needed.
