Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Buyer for a temporary assignment based in Willingboro, NJ. The role focuses on daily purchasing, vendor management, and supply chain coordination to support operations, engineering, and service teams.

You will handle POs in an MRP/ERP system, track deliveries, and expeditate late shipments while ensuring data accuracy and strong internal communication. The position is fully onsite with a hourly pay range of $30.00-$35.00 and benefits eligibility.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing/procurement in manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience using MRP/ERP to create and manage POs.
• PO management with tracking, updating, and expediting.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Vendor management and performance follow-up.
• Experience tracking deliveries and expediting shipments.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies with Accounts Payable.
• Experience with inbound logistics.
• Accurate data entry in ERP.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily purchasing to ensure material availability for operations, engineering, and service teams.
• Use MRP/ERP to create, release, and manage purchase orders.
• Track orders, expedite late shipments, and communicate status updates.
• Maintain vendor relationships and monitor delivery performance.
• Coordinate with Warehouse Clerk on rental fleet parts and related operations.
• Monitor inventory levels to prevent stockouts and excess stock.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies with Accounts Payable.
• Support inbound logistics tracking and issue resolution.
• Enter data accurately in ERP and related systems.
• Analyze purchasing data in Excel and prepare reports.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, service, and finance.
• Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers where appropriate.
• Prioritize tasks and adapt to changing timelines.
• Demonstrate follow-up and problem-solving to address supply chain issues.
